• As Director of IT, I’m in charge of purchasing, budgeting, planning, security, implementation and support of all things IT. I oversee 300 users, 16 servers, 200 desktops and 80 mobile devices across 10 locations in 8 states 24/7/365. • With strategical budgeting, I have reduced IT spending by $75,000 a year in networking cost, managed services, software licensing and maintenance. • I planned and executed a company-wide infrastructure upgrade that virtualized all servers, u¬pgraded network infrastructure, updated computers and moved to cloud services while saving $500,000 in the IT department since becoming the director. • I designed and manage all aspects of the company website which includes over 500 products, 2,000 pages, and 1 million yearly unique visitors.
• At the YMCA I oversaw the YMCA Digital Media and Journalism Program as well as being part of the Youth Institute and Youth and Government programs. • I mentored 200 students teaching them graphic design, video editing, web design, photography, journalism, and storytelling. • Through the Journalism program, we published a centerfold of community stories, photographs, and events in the weekly Long Beach Uptown and Downtown Gazette while never missing a deadline.
